It’s Father’s Day 2011

You’ve left this world, you’re now in Heaven.

And though you’re in a better place,

I’ll always miss your smiling face.

My heart still aches, my tears still fall,

Though people tell me “Time heals all.”

I know that God will ease my pain,

That strength and wisdom I will gain.

Strength to make it through each day,

To handle things that come my way.

Wisdom so I’ll understand

That for all things God has a plan.

And what I have, because of you,

Are two great kids to help me through.

They’re both so smart, just like their dad,

And when they laugh, I’m not so sad.

Cameron has your looks and smile,

Even has the short hair style.

He’s funny and has lots of friends.

On him for memories, I depend.

And Madi is the sweetie-pie.

She misses you and she still cries.

Her braces, just for you, are green.

Devotion to her dad, I’ve seen.

We miss you and we love you son,

Our lives without you have begun…

And though it’s tough, we want to say,

“We love you…Happy Father’s Day!”
